ABC News Video on Breast Augmentation, Silicone Breast Implants, Capsular Contracture

Just so you know that the Furry Brazilian doesn’t invent complications or statics, have a watch of this:

The Furry Brazilian notes:

  1. Silicone implants are safe- hooray! That is something the rest of the world knew for years! There is a nice look at cohesive silicone gel in the video.
  2. Capsular Contracture is being discussed- this is great news as capsular contracture is the leading cause of re-operations following breast augmentation when smooth or textured implants are used. This should be discussed more and more, every woman considering breast augmentation should be researching capsular contracture and have a full understanding of capsular contracture.
  3. Re-operation rate following breast augmentation is mentioned- yeah! The public should know the FDA suggests that 20% of women will need their smooth or textured breast implants replaced within 8-10 years of having a breast augmentation.

Let’s keep the discussions coming, let’s add Polyurethane implants to the discussion. Polyurethane implants are in the same “place” that silicone breast implants were- being used all over the world but not in the USA.

  1. Good article, thank you. Can you explain the first paragraph in more detail?

  2. Could it be alright to reference part of this on my website basically include a backlink to this webpage?
